Gloomy synthwave sounds blend with ethereal vocals to create a kind of vintage wave world that will delight genre lovers. ‘SIX’ conveys the dark despair of an individual struggling with inner battles, isolation, and pain. It expresses a strong desire for liberation and solace. The search for redemption is palpable and emphasizes the deep longing for inner peace. Post-punk, with a slight gothic touch, emphasizes the gloomy mood, which nevertheless manages to radiate, in a dark and gloomy way. Shiny Lake is definitely on the right track and, after their debut, presents another work worth listening to.

The spirit of Daniel continues to live on and culminates in an album with 13 songs. ‘Ain't No Woman Gonna Make a George Jones Outta Me’ is just one of the songs that make this tribute album a gem. Recommended tracks include ‘The Sun Shines Down on Me,’ ‘It's Impossible,’ and ‘Living Life.’ To round off 2024, Jerry Fish feat. MayKay once again provide some fine alternative music.

If the song sounds familiar to you now, we have already presented Carlos Ucedda and ‘I adore you’ once before; back then, the song was still very 80s (greetings to Luke Tangerine at this point). Together with Double Triangle, they take a step further into the 90s. You could almost say: ‘I adore you’ has arrived in the golden era of techno. The remix shows Double Triangle in top form, with good progression that keeps up the tension and simultaneously proves that, together with Carlos Ucedda, they can also capture the 90s flair magnificently and present it in the style of the 2000s.
