Neil Armstrong’s ‘In the Borderlands’: A Nostalgic Journey Through Love and Loss

“In the Borderlands” by Neil Armstrong Neil Armstrong steps onto our blog stage for the first time as an artist. His music pays tribute to the icons of the 80s, including The Cure, Tears For Fears, Pet Shop Boys, and Howard Jones. Oscillating between the realms of Synth-Pop/Rock and New Wave, Armstrong’s transnational work, fluctuating between Spain and Scotland, is expressed in his latest piece, “In the Borderlands.” The song takes us on an introspective journey through the nuances of human relationships, unfolding the complexity of interpersonal dynamics . It exposes these nuances on the operating table of music, bringing them to life with a nostalgic touch reminiscent of the 80s, thereby endowing the work with a soul. Ralf Dee - "Candy box"

The EP "Candy Box" is the first official release of the online collaboration between Ralf Dee andLars Oeschey (who also releases various projects under the pseudonym -zardoz-), which originated in 2020. Ralf Dee is a solo-artist from Germany with an affinity for Blues and AmericanRoots Music. Lars Oeschey is a sound twiddler and guitarist with a preference for extreme Metalgenres. The combination of both "artist-worlds" sounds great, really "out of the box" and it's definitely worth to listening to.

Swanga Swang - "It's over"

The next track we discovered, is respectively was "It's over" from Swanga Swang, a singer and songwriter from Texas. The song combines the elements of Country with a touch of 50's harmonies. The right ingredients to sound great. I really enjoyed the listening and would call it a sweet little gem.

Clan Nordag - "Triade"

Clan Nordag was created in Paris in 2017. The group is composed of Hermine, Frank Nordag and Irène de France, all 3 authors/composers/performers. Influenced by Celtic-Nordic music (Faun, Cécile Corbel, Matmatah, ...) and modern music, their 3 universes are intertwined to give birth to an original and varied Neo-medieval music in electro-folk-rock style. And this exactly how it sounds. Their 1st album entitled "Triade" was released on May 1st 2021.

An early bird - "Holding onto Hope"

Self-taught multi-instrumentalist An Early Bird releases his new single „Holding onto Hope“, a genuine springtime folk pop song delivering a positive message with a compelling refrain you need to listen to when in need of relax moments and good vibes.

Scott & Maria - "Mother Calls"

And our last track is inspired by the power of majestic Scottish ancient land, stones and the message received by Maria during a profound encounter with the Calanais stone circle in The Western Isles of Scotland. This song calls us to remember ourselves, immersed in the land, and learn to listen again to the wisdom of the earth. Close your eyes and let the journey begin.
