‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

 Five on Monday

Today we start with FoM, means we present 5 Artists with their songs we discovered during the last week. No matter the genre, everything is welcome in this article respectively column.

Brains for Breakfast - Predicting is for fools       Spotify

Our first track is "Predicting is for fools" by Brains for Breakfast. A singer- and songwriter based in Wolverhampton, UK. "This is a song I wrote a long time ago, but have re-recorded and "Ray Parkes" who produced the track layered the song with strings and piano parts, that build up throughout the track. You can early hear "The Beatles" influence towards the composition he has produced. All of the vocals, Bass and Guitars parts are done by Andy the "Brains" behind Brains For Breakfast.". Would call it close to perfect. (Interview will follow)

Antsy - Summer Longing     Spotify

The next one is Antsy with "Summer Longing". Started in 2019, Antsy is a French indie pop solo project based in Reykjavik (Iceland). Making heavy use of ethereal synthesizers and punchy drum machines, Antsy’s music is straightforward and uptempo, with an underlying melancholy, influenced by bands such as New Order, MGMT and Metronomy. After "Leave me alone" the next step into the right direction. Simply good.

Jeremy Gorman - Brave enough to be     Spotify

A fantastic songwriter and musician from the San Francisco Bay area is next. Jeremy Gormans new release "Brave enough to be" is/was inspired by the poem “The Hill We Climb” written and recited by Amanda Gorman (no relation) at the Biden/Harris inauguration. His musical influences as being varied, from rock to jazz, classical and folk – and these influences, especially folk, comes through clearly in this song.

Alvinos Zavlis - In my dreams     Spotify

Alvinos Zavlis is an electronic music producer based in the UK. Ambient, Gritty and organic are the most common words used to describe his music. In 2018 he released his debut EP "The Fusion" through Kaiseki Digital records. Now we are more than happy that he has released his next great track "In my dreams", a very dark  piece with a touch of sinister atmospheres.

Steven Cano - Crying for no reason     Spotify

Steven Cano is a 21 year old american producer and musician from Venezuela, who takes melodic trap and future bass to find his own unique sound. With "Crying for no reason" he released a track where we definitely can't find a reason to cry. An amazing track by Steven Cano with the right mixture to create a banger for the clubs.
