‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

The Artist: HyBrazil - "Four Seasons"

“I originally wrote it as an acoustic song,” Coughlan says. “Someone at work had said the weather was like four seasons in one day – and it made me think of someone I knew like that.” She laughs, “I literally wrote it in twenty minutes.” So we have to say Achtung: amazing soul meets the swing of jazz to sound like pop, in one word "great".

HyBrazil

Hybrazil are Orla Coughlan, Willians Maxwell, and Luan Lopes; a Pop Rock band with jazz and soul influences, from Galway City, Ireland.
They began performing on the streets of Galway in 2018 and since then have developed their original Pop/Rock music. It was then that in 2020, feeling the need to express its own musicality, HyBrazil released its first original song entitled "Burning Desire" and since then, music and music videos have been released frequently on their social networks.
Influenced by rock bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles and Paramore, vocalist Orla Coughlan, drummer Luan Lopes and guitarist Willians Maxwell it is also possible to see the influence of external genres such as Soul and Funk.
