Chancy Squire
In 1980, three friends – Klaus Rieger, Wolfgang Vorpahl, and Nikolas Beyer – founded the band in Hamburg, Germany’s gate to the world. A few months later, Mike Boch and Dirk Kowalewski joined in on drums and keyboard. After Nikolas left, Willi Busacker (lead guitar) – and later on, as a substitute for Willi, Michael “Schmiddle” Schmidt and Michael Austermeier (bass) – completed the band.
The band has reformed after a long break. Three guys from the original line-up are now bringing the amazing songs back to life. Supported by friends who made this album possible. Modern arrangements with a playful ease are the sound of the musician’s hearts. Togetherness, a lifelong friend-ship, being one team – these are what’s most important.
Now they are back with "I'm Sorry", a calm, harmonious ballad and is intended to encourage all genders not to always question everything and break up immediately when there is a quarrel in the relationship, but to show willingness to reconcile.
"I was inspired to write the song by my own experiences.
You should always feel deep inside yourself before making such a far-reaching decision and give your partner a chance." Giving up too soon - that's what this song is meant to fight against. The melody goes immediately into the ear, the voices of Kate and Klaus fit almost perfectly together.
Chancy Squire are:
Klaus Rieger, Lead vocals, acoustic guitar
Wolfgang Vorpahl, Acoustic guitar, vocals
Michael Austermeier, Bass, electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, accordion, vocals
Rodeo FM
"Shame shame shame", second single of the upcoming EP “All the things you asked for”, by Berlin based Indie and Alt-Country band Rodeo FM is out on June 24th 2021. A twangy, banjoesque tale of love lost before dawn. And all the things this might entail..
Rodeo FM have been playing their brand of Americana for 15 years - in dingy cellars and at vernissages, at weddings and funerals, in beer tents and night clubs, at country festivals, symposiums and demonstrations. They have been filling dancefloors from the South of France to the Russian border. “Upgrade of truth", their third self-published album, was released in late 2020 to wide acclaim from outlets as diverse as Americana UK, Tinnitist and the Rodeo Mag. “All the things you asked for”, a 5 song EP, will be released in September 2021.
