Neil Armstrong’s ‘In the Borderlands’: A Nostalgic Journey Through Love and Loss

“In the Borderlands” by Neil Armstrong Neil Armstrong steps onto our blog stage for the first time as an artist. His music pays tribute to the icons of the 80s, including The Cure, Tears For Fears, Pet Shop Boys, and Howard Jones. Oscillating between the realms of Synth-Pop/Rock and New Wave, Armstrong’s transnational work, fluctuating between Spain and Scotland, is expressed in his latest piece, “In the Borderlands.” The song takes us on an introspective journey through the nuances of human relationships, unfolding the complexity of interpersonal dynamics . It exposes these nuances on the operating table of music, bringing them to life with a nostalgic touch reminiscent of the 80s, thereby endowing the work with a soul. The arrangement, inspired by the musical giants of that era, is a testament to Armstrong’s exceptional talent for composing and arranging songs. The Artist: Daverage J. Normal - "Dark Stars"

We know him since "Voidhawk", today he is releasing his new track "Dark Stars" and it sounds great. Underground at it's best I might say. Daverage J. Normal has returned bringing a new futuristic sound to listeners with the release of his third single of 2021, DarkStars. The forthcoming track is the lead single from his future EP, General Dysfunction, tabled for release in mid-summer 2021. DJN is an independent artist hailing from the UK, he writes, produces and mixes his own works from his home studio in Kenley, Surrey. Compared to previous releases in 2021, DarkStars offers a glimpse into the progression of DJN’s production style, technique and songwriting as each track appears to be more refined than the last. You can clearly hear the influences of retrowave and cyberwave aesthetics alongside a more industrial edge though without confining itself too much too one specific ideal.
