‘ICU’ by Luke Tangerine & Kate Pending Luke Tangerine's output this year has been enormous, and he is not going to miss the opportunity to top it up just before Christmas. ‘ICU’ is the name of the new electro meets house music banger, which is almost unbeatable in terms of elegance. In this collaboration between Luke Tangerine and Kate Pending , both are in top form. One reason for this is certainly that both are masters of their craft and don't think in terms of genre boundaries.  ‘ICU’ manages to get stuck in my ear canals immediately, and not just because of the 80s/90s tendency that is definitely there. It's the combination that creates this. The Artist: NICKY MURRAY - "It was my heart"

It was my heart

Influenced by Bon Iver, Laura Marling oder The Staves hatte ich gelesen, und da wird es interessant, klingt nach Harmonien und Story, zumindest verspricht man sich das davon. Nicky Murray: Guitar, Vocals, Synth, Flugelhorn und Katie Gregson-MacLeod: Harmonies als Hauptakteure in diesem hoffnungsvollen und anekdotischen Liebeslied. "It was my heart", nennt sich das gute Stück, und der Song, man kann sagen was man will, besitzt diese Strömung, eine Strömung wie ein kleiner Bach der sich durch das unwegsame Gelände seinen Weg bahnt. Unaufhaltsam fließt er vor sich hin, eingebettet in der Natur, wie die Lyrics in diesem Lied, will er seine Geschichte erzählen. Nicht aufdringlich und fordernd sondern herzlich und hoffnungsvoll wird vorgetragen. Es bedarf keiner großen Effekte auf Vocals oder Instrumenten, der Song bzw. die Geschichte und der schottische Singer und Songwriter selbst stehen hier im Mittelpunkt. So we have to say Achtung: Once you listen, "It was my heart" will be in your heart and in your head.
