4 Songs About Love And Disaster In The Year Of The Horse

An uplifting ballad from Sheffield narrative songwriting duo Cathedral Birds. The year of the horse was one of the coldest on record. We were sixteen. Our parents divorced. It was many years ago. It still resonates as middle aged men. It was the year of discovery. The year of experiment. The year of not knowing which way to go. We took walks on the moors. Saw a buzzard for the first time. Watched it disappear into the heavens. We wrote this song during lockdown. Sent the lyrics back and forth and exchanged idea's. It still gives us chills.

Das war die "Ausgangsinformation", klingt doch interessant, oder nicht? Was kann man sich erwarten? Wie schon beim Vorgänger, das Songwriting wird großgeschrieben wie auch die Arrangements der Instrumentierung. Erlesene Klänge passend zur Stimmung der einzelnen Tracks werden frei Haus geliefert. If the song sounds familiar to you now, we have already presented Carlos Ucedda and ‘I adore you’ once before; back then, the song was still very 80s (greetings to Luke Tangerine at this point). Together with Double Triangle, they take a step further into the 90s. You could almost say: ‘I adore you’ has arrived in the golden era of techno. The remix shows Double Triangle in top form, with good progression that keeps up the tension and simultaneously proves that, together with Carlos Ucedda, they can also capture the 90s flair magnificently and present it in the style of the 2000s. Great Remix of a fantastic Song by the end of the year!

"Wer bin ich¿" zeigt eine tiefe Identitätskrise und Sinnsuche des Menschen. Dichtboi symbolisiert den verzweifelten Versuch, der Realität durch Illusionen zu entfliehen. Der Text erinnert daran, dass wahrer Mut darin besteht, sich den Herausforderungen des Lebens zu stellen und Erfüllung innerhalb der realen Grenzen zu suchen, oder es wird zur Flucht in eine andere Welt, die leider oft nur einen Ausweg kennt. Und so bleibt am Ende der Beginn einer neuen Ebene der Existenz. Nachdenkliches von Dichtboi zum Jahresende.
