"Around and around" by Moontwin

Moontwin have been creating music virtually between Cornwall (UK) and Plovdiv (Bulgaria) for the last few years, well before working remotely became fashionable. The duo consist of singer-songwriter Maple Bee (aka Melanie Garside) and Zac Kuzmanov, founder of alternative radio station XRaydio. Das als kurze Zweisatz-bio vorausgeschickt. Der Umgang mit den unvermeidlichen emotionalen und körperlichen Veränderungen, die mit dem Alter und der Zeit einhergehen. Die naiven Versprechungen und narzisstischen Begierden des jugendlichen Hedonismus und Ehrgeizes werden langsam langweilig, matt und ausdruckslos.  Das Verständnis von Akzeptanz und Kompromiss entsteht, wächst. Der Anspruch außergewöhnliche Themen aufzugreifen liegt in ihrer Natur, wird von ihnen hochgehalten, und so schaffen es Moontwin immer wieder auf sich aufmerksam zu machen. "Around and around"  ist eine Art Psychedelic-Dream-Pop, angereichert mit experimentellen Post-Punk Elementen, das Schauspiel Leben im Kontext des Alterns, wo sich die Perspektive ändert als Thema, indem die Vocalparts beinahe Chakra-esque klingen, und das Piano, die Melodie der Wiederkehr zelebriert.
