"Fog Walker Of Copton Ridge" by Mountain Mansion

"All of the songs are about my adventures working in remote fire towers and alpine lookouts", das klingt doch sehr vielversprechend dachte ich. Fog Walker ist die dritte Single von seinem bevorstehenden Album "Songs From A Fire Tower, Pt.1". Das ganze natürlich im Stile von Bon Iver, sehr folk- und gitarrenlastig. Gedanken und Emotionen stehen im Vordergrund. Gefühle und Geschichten in Noten gefasst und vorgetragen. Diese Vorträge, oder in diesem Fall Vortrag bedient sich alles was das Genre ausmacht, sprich hergibt. Die geschaffene Atmosphäre fasziniert einen förmlich, lässt dich in eine neue Welt eintauchen, eine von Worten und Klängen konstituierten Welt, unverwechselbar nahezu unerreicht und doch vorhanden. Etwas Wahrheit, etwas Dichtung und Musik geformt zur perfekten Story. Musikalisch eindrucksvoll und stimmig, der Einsatz der Backingsounds zurückhaltend und zum richtigen Zeitpunkt präsent, der "Fog Walker Of Copton Ridge" ist angekommen.
