‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

"Pariser Nacht" by Blaues Einhorn

Blaues Einhorn BandBlaues Einhorn Frankreich

Blaues Einhorn

They have no limits, no musical preferences but a lot of imagination! Blaues Einhorn arrives on the French scene and sings in German? Stop, let's catch our breath. Even if their music will not leave you any respite! Charlie, queen mother of the blue unicorns, tells in Wagner's language about the world of today, yesterday and tomorrow, while Flavien (alias FLVN, and member of the post punk / new wave band Order 89) plays the machines.
No fiction, just real life, but not the kind you'd like to hear. Nicht Essenziell is the first EP of the duo who engrave on four tracks the moods of our time. The 2020's... that's a beginning of a decade that we would have gladly done without and that we would like to never be confronted with again.
From behind the counter to behind the microphone, Blaues Einhorn is like this era. Uncertain, but made to last. Doesn't that go together? But Charlie and Flavien prove otherwise.

Pariser Nacht

"No fiction, just real life, but not the kind you'd like to hear. Pariser Nacht is taken from Nicht Essenziell, Blaues Einhorn's first EP which will be released on November 26th. Four tracks written in the language of Wagner, which will delight fans of new wave, post-punk and krautrock.", als Vorwort.

"Pariser Nacht" by Blaues Einhorn as a lighthouse between New and Cold Wave.
