Dutch Rhythm Gurus Channel Madchester Magic: “Love Can Take You Places” by Lemon

“Love Can Take You Places” by Lemon Today, we ride the wave of Lemon’s psychedelic groove, straight out of the wildest dreams of the Second Summer of Love. Primal Scream ’s ecstatic reverberations, Happy Mondays ’ swagger, Stone Roses ’ euphoric anthems, and The Charlatans ’ timeless rhythms collide with the avant-garde funk of Talking Heads , the indie jangle of The Kooks , and the electric fire of Kasabian , all converging in Lemon’s new release “Love Can Take You Places.” Welcome to Madchester, no, scratch that, this is undoubtedly Nedchester, reimagined by a quartet of Dutch rhythm gurus who are stirring up the scene with their unique brand of funky alternative rock.   Over 30 years ago, it was a cultural revolution that captured the spirit of a generation. It was a time when music and fashion collided, creating an explosion of self-expression that resonated through the streets of Manchester. This spirit has been embodied once more, blurring the lines between the old Hacienda god

"How Would it Feel to Know the Truth" by Indigo Daydream

Nick Cheshire

Indigo Daydream

Indigo Daydream is the creation of multi-instrumentalist, Nick Cheshire. Inspired by the concept of alternative reality first examined in "Alice in Wonderland" and later in "The Matrix" movies, "How Would it Feel to Know the Truth" delves beneath the veneer to expose a truth we all secretly know. Bathing thought provoking lyrics in a sea of atmospheric guitars and synths.

How Would it Feel to Know the Truth

“How Would it Feel to Know the Truth” nimmt uns auf diese Reise mit.
"I love sci-fi and fantasy movies and am a big fan of The Matrix and Alice in Wonderland. I wanted to write a song that captured that same mood.", so der Künstler darüber.
"How Would it Feel to Know the Truth" by Indigo Daydream or Agent Alice as time traveller back to the now!!

Q&A

Who is the human behind the musician Nick Cheshire (Indigo Daydream)?

What a great, probing question! There's a long answer and a short answer. The short answer is, I love music, making it, listening to it and performing it

Who inspired you to make music in general ... and especially the song "How Would it Feel to Know the Truth"?

During lockdown, I suffered a head injury. During my recovery I wrote and recorded six songs. "How Would it Feel to Know the Truth" is one of those songs. Indigo Daydream is a positive creative exploration born out of a challenging experience. I feel very lucky to be able to make and share my music.

You are a multi-instrumentalist, what was the first instrument you learned?

My Dad had an acoustic guitar. I think I picked it up and learned a C chord when I was about 10. Hooked ever since!

What is your creative process like and was it different for this song?

It varies, sometimes the music comes first, other times the words. With this song, it was the music first. One guitar riff and the rest grew from there. I often come up with songs while I'm driving...

What's your most useful talent besides music?

I love writing. Stories, poetry, tweets :)

How would you describe 2021 in a sentence?

In a word, surreal, in a good way.

What was the first ever Pop/Rock/etc... song you listened to or remember?

My Dad is a massive Beatles fan. I think I've been listening to The Beatles since birth. Paperback Writer is the first song that comes to mind.

What do you prefer, a live gig or a studio session?

A live gig is an amazing experience, but you do get to immerse yourself in the music a bit more in the studio. It's a tie I think!

Do you remember your first ever self-written song?

I do. It was called Bang My Leg on a Chair. It had one line. I was sitting playing piano and I came up with it after I, well you can guess the rest...

What’s next for you?

I'm currently in the USA and will be playing a few small gigs over the next few months. Also releasing more music. The next single will be on 14th February. Its a song about my son and how much I love him called "Love You More than The Beatles and The Stones".
