Strange Souvenirs breathe new life into the world of drab colour by numbers pop with their genre-bending blend of delicate, danceable and disorienting music. True to their band name every release unveils a new unexpected side of the duo - reverberating as strange sonic souvenirs and audio anomalies from distant dimensions of sound. 
Strange Souvenirs are Thomas Juhnke and Matthias Juhnke.Together with producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Cameron James Laing, they are currently completing their first album “Spontaneous Mutation” at The Famous Gold Watch Studio in Weissensee Berlin. Something strange is going to happen.

"We call our songs and ourselves Strange Souvenirs because we collect and compile audio input and inspiration on our travels through the vast world of music. And then we twist it into something strange and special...." stand da und man denkt sich, soll ich auf Play drücken oder nicht, tja, sieht ganz so aus als ob ich es getan habe. 
Und so bin ich jetzt in der glücklichen Lage diesen außergewöhnlichen Song zu präsentieren. Dort wo die Gegenwart auf die Vergangenheit trifft, der Verstand und das Denken des Öfteren den Gefühlen weichen muss, ja dort tauchen Strange Souvenirs ein um uns mit "Beaches" zu beglücken. 
Der Part der Vocals im Mittelpunkt, der Sänger als Protagonist erzählt, interpretiert beinahe sorglos zu sanften Gitarrenklängen. Schlichte Genialität die nicht mehr braucht um den Hörer zu erreichen bzw. gefangen zu nehmen. Es ist diese Unkompliziertheit die diesen Track so besonders macht. 
"Beaches" by Strange Souvenirs definitely more than a simple song, brilliant catched emotions reborn in a timeless melody.
