‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

"For Real?" by Aza Brown

Aza Brown

Aza Brown

... is a Singer/Songwriter based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. From performing twice at the Ally Pally in 2018, recording with Arctic Monkeys producer Alan Smyth and playing the Rock The Boat Cruise (Festival at Sea) in the same year, Aza’s band - The WonderWhys - supported The Happy Mondays at an electric hometown gig in Chesterfield the next year.
With the enforced lockdown, however, gigs ground to a halt, and Aza chose to record with local producer - Danny Burton (Finley Quaye, John Entwistle, Zak Starkey), who was so impressed with his vocal harmonies that he invited him to sing on his own solo album “Night and Day”. The album “Exennial” will be available in the Summer of 2022, before at least 2 more singles.

For Real?

Das Genre klingt ein bisschen nach Alternative meets 90's Brit Rock touched by Retro Vibes, oder einfach gesagt a great Genre Mixture has been done.
"For Real?" by Aza Brown, definitely great, definitely for real and definitely not the hamster on a wheel!
