... is a gothic witch rock band based out of Philadelphia, PA, birthed in 2019, and made up of a hodgepodge of souls: including
Kimber Dulin (vocalist & lyricist),
Chris Tremoglie (guitarist & pianist),
Andriana Markano (violin)
Zach Rinck (bassist), and
Kat Wilson (Drums).
We thrive off the myths of malefic witches, lustful gods, and unholy ghosts bound to the Swamp, slithering with its snakes, home and grave to human and beast alike.
Our acoustic style mirrors the fables passed down – tongue to tongue and earto ear-- becoming more twisted and ruinous with every passing listen, with every gulp of whiskey around the fire
Noonday
Gothic Rock, ausgestattet mit bluesigen Elementen, bei uns heute zu Gast "49 Burning Condors", eine Gothic Witch Rock Band "based out of Philadelphia". "Noonday Demons" wurden Melancholie, Apathie und dunkle Gedanken früher genannt. Heute besser bekannt unter dem Namen Depression. Vor allem Frauen, welche darunter litten, galten als von Geistern besessen – Hexen, deren Rücken mit Steinen bedeckt und zum Verbrennen auf den Scheiterhaufen geworfen werden sollte. Was haben sie wohl gefühlt oder gedacht wenn sie darunter zu leiden hatten?
Dies das durchaus ungewöhnliche Thema, das in einem Albtraum seinen Anfang und Inspiration zum neuesten Song der Band fand. Musikalisch wandern wir Richtung Gothic Rock meets Blues, die Umsetzung der Thematik brillant. Schwermütig, wie auch melancholisch die Stimmung, in welcher Kimber tief in ihrem Traum gräbt und eine exzellente Performance zu Tage trägt.
