Technoesque Poesie: "Stern" by Jioni , ENNA

Love it

"Love it" by Dylan McCarthy, once you listen to, you will LOVE IT. Thanks for your time!

Who inspired you to make music in general?

When I was younger, my friends and I always would mess around with music just because it was just something we did for fun, but after I discovered Tyler, the Creator I decided to take it a bit more seriously by taking piano lessons and recording my own songs to put out.
Tyler was definitely my main inspiration for that, and I want to meet him so bad, so if anybody reading this knows how to make that happen, please let me know :)

What's the story behind your song "Love it", what was your inspiration, respectively ?

When I was making LOVE IT, I wanted to make an upbeat, catchy, summer hit while lyrically, pointing out that I am a small and unknown artist who is unfazed by big labels not paying attention to me or my music.
Opening with the line: “Welcome to the freshest sound that nobodies gon’ listen to” and even in the chorus when I say “So tell me that you love it” I am just wishfully hoping that the listener really does LOVE IT and enjoys the music that I make.

What's in your opinion the most time intensive part concerning songwriting?

I am somebody that takes my lyrical writing very seriously, so I would have to say that coming up with unique lines that aren’t the same, reused lyrics you hear recycled in almost every song on the radio is the most time intensive part in my songwriting.
It may take several days, even weeks sometimes, but I enjoy this process because the feeling of finally finding that perfect line is unmatched.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

One day I want to work with so many of the artists that I look up to, but Tyler, The Creator, Jack Harlow, Alessia Cara, and Dominic Fike are the ones that really stand out. Those four artists are easily my favorites right now and it is a dream to be able to work with any of them in the future.

What are your "All time Top 3 Songs", right now, in this second?

Put Your Records On - Corinne Bailey Rae,
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye,
Slide - Calvin Harris, feat. Frank Ocean, Migos

What's your most useful talent besides music?

Besides music, I would have to say my most useful talent is directing/cinematography. I direct and edit all my videos myself and I have recently even started doing the same for some local artists and friends because it's something that I really do enjoy and want to continue to grow and improve on.

What’s next for you?

Well, I just put out a song and video called ‘BALD’ that talks about the struggles of balding in your early 20’s while also talking about my hair transplant surgery that I recently had done. So, moving forward I have plans to continue having fun and putting out as many singles/music videos as I can this summer!
I am really looking forward to trying to grow as an artist/director and I hope to gain as much of a following as I can. Thank you so much to NenesButler for the interview and everyone reading more to come soon!
