Twin Moons/Bearwolf, Pt. 1

All songs are inspired by literary works and philosophy, heißt es, ja sie sind wieder zurück und wieder schaffen sie es einen Schritt nach vor zu machen und besser als davor zu klingen. Die Rede ist von Josef Umschaid (drums and fx) und Lukas Wieser (strings and synths), besser bekant als My Friend The Chimpanzee. Ihre Inspiration ist dieses Mal Murakamis Roman 1Q84.

Ein Song der den Menschen nicht als gut oder böse bezeichnet, sondern als Union beider Versionen. Niemand geht durchs Leben ohne zumindest einmal seine dunkle Seite gezeigt zu haben. Umgekehrt betrachtet würde es bedeuten, dass aus all den guten Anteilen eine wunderbare Welt geschaffen werden könnte.

Verpackt ist das Ganze im perfekten Synth Indie Rock, der dieses Mal einen Touch Experimental Art Pop erfährt und durch die Vocals erneut zu begeistern vermag. "Time Traveller" und "I Love This Place" haben durch das neue Release definitiv einen würdigen Nachfolger an ihrer Seite. Ich bin bereits gespannt was die Jungs aus Wien als nächstes auf den Markt werfen werden. Finest Indietronica made in Austria!

If the song sounds familiar to you now, we have already presented Carlos Ucedda and ‘I adore you’ once before; back then, the song was still very 80s (greetings to Luke Tangerine at this point). Together with Double Triangle, they take a step further into the 90s. You could almost say: ‘I adore you’ has arrived in the golden era of techno. The remix shows Double Triangle in top form, with good progression that keeps up the tension and simultaneously proves that, together with Carlos Ucedda, they can also capture the 90s flair magnificently and present it in the style of the 2000s. Great Remix of a fantastic Song by the end of the year!

"Wer bin ich¿" zeigt eine tiefe Identitätskrise und Sinnsuche des Menschen. Dichtboi symbolisiert den verzweifelten Versuch, der Realität durch Illusionen zu entfliehen. Der Text erinnert daran, dass wahrer Mut darin besteht, sich den Herausforderungen des Lebens zu stellen und Erfüllung innerhalb der realen Grenzen zu suchen, oder es wird zur Flucht in eine andere Welt, die leider oft nur einen Ausweg kennt. Und so bleibt am Ende der Beginn einer neuen Ebene der Existenz. Nachdenkliches von Dichtboi zum Jahresende.
