‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

Vinyl-DJ & Producer: Der Energieberater ... and the Energy is with you!

Der Energieberater

Der Energieberater

Vinyl DJ, remixer, producer from Wiesbaden... "Always surprise the audience!" he said and he manages to do this again and again. One of the last who understand their craft and one of those who respect the original and becomes a part of the song through creativity.

Der Energieberater is ...?

...a Vinyl-DJ and producer from Wiesbaden/Germany. Motto: always surprise the audience. I love to celebrate with the crowd and make remixes from cool bands and songwriters from the indie scene.

Who inspired you to make music in general and how did you get into music?

I started out as a dj in the 80s so I have a lot of influences from the beginning of electronic music, house and grooves from this great time. I love Kraftwerk, New Order, vocal house but also old-school hiphop with funky grooves.

You are a well known Remixer and Producer , when do you decide that a remix is ready for a release?

I try to respect to the original but also want to give the song a new vibe. When I´m happy with the remix I always ask the bands if they like it too. Then it is time for mastering and the release.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

I like to work with musicians from my area but also from all around the world. If I like a track it either could be an unknown artist but also a famous band. In the last 2 years I appreciate to reach out to bands via instagram and collaborated with great artists from Austria, Canada, Sweden and California, England,… and my hometown Wiesbaden.

What do you think was the last "Big thing'' in the music industry?

Vinyl😊 Music on wax is not only data : it earns the big sound and respect. Especially a 12” Maxi-Single.

Right now, in this second, what are your "All time top 3 Remixed-Songs“?

Depeche Mode - Useless - Remixed by Kruder + Dorfmeister
Foals - Late Night - Remixed by Solomun
Rupert Falsch - Moose und Farne - Energieberater Mix :)

What’s next for you?

In the moment I´m working on remixes for Flurfunk Modern (Depeche Mode Cover-Projekt), Subterfuge and UniUni… all friends and musicians I know from their live gigs and DJ-Sets.
