Technoesque Poesie: "Stern" by Jioni , ENNA

All together: "Give it a shot" by Photøgraph

Photøgraph

Photøgraph

"The three of us were born in the Paris Suburbs, we grew up together. We used to kill time playing football or rehearsing in our parents’ dusty basement. We spent afternoons listening to vinyl records before myspace showed up. The concert venues were our main attraction on weekend evenings.
Photøgraph is our latest project together; we take great care of it, as we want it to remain true and meaningful. Each song is about a moment or an emotion. It’s about love, violence, nostalgia and today’s society. We are producing pop music that we want synthetic, dynamic, positive and shiny.
Photøgraph is about growing independently. It’s all homemade. Our artist friends work on graphic design, photographs, the website, sound-engineering, live production and more. We think as a family and it would not feel the same if it was made differently." (-Photøgraph-)

Photøgraph are ...?

Jon, Romain and Etienne. We come from the same town in Paris suburbs. We met in middle school and we are friends since then. We were already getting on stage together by the age of 14. We had seperate ways for few years. Then we decided to team up again to create Photøgraph.

How did you get into music?

We all went to a music school but Romain was playing the clarinet for example… So we got into music by playing together in a basement. It used to be rock music (a lot of Led Zeppelin )

What's the story behind the song "Give it a shot", what was your inspiration?

It seems like we’re all used to this violence in our society. So many things going wrong but the focus is elsewhere. We wanted to shake the people's brain. It’s time to do something all together. To fight for everybody’s rights, for the climate, for nature. If you do it, others will join you.

I have read something about an upcoming Album, what can listeners expect from?

The upcoming album is a pop electronic work. The topics covered are less egocentric. We talk about the world around us. We talk about society and its deviations. It is very positive thinking. it's also much more danceable than the previous record.

Is there a chance to see you somewhere live on stage?

We’ve been playing a lot recently. We will be playing in France (Paris and suburbs, Brittany and in the east) in the upcoming month. Then we’ll be touring in Europe beginning 2023, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland (and UK hopefully)

What's the hardest part of "being Independent »?

You must be capable of working on all subjects. Creating and producing music, raising funds, booking venues, working on your communications etc… We have a team behind us that we love deeply. We are so grateful to them.

Right now, in this second, what are your "All time Top 3 Songs"?

Wow… Ok we almost had an argument for that one so we are going for 4 :
Idiotheque Radiohead,
New person Same old mistake by Tame Impala,
Space Oddity by David Bowie and
A New Error by Moderat.

What’s next for you?

We are working on the next videoclip. Coming out mid October !
