Who is Brian Berggoetz ...and how he get into music?

Brian has been a singer/songwriter and self-taught acoustic guitarist since his early twenties. He has a creative style of writing with unique changes that sets him apart from mainstream writers. He also has a skill for rewriting classic songs to his style in a very unique manner.
He has opened for various touring acts including Reverend Horton Heat, Charlie Sexton and Jerry Giddens. He's also played at many popular festivals and nightclubs in Austin, TX, Arizona and New Mexico.
He is currently the leader of two amazing bands. One is a rock and roll band that consists of a lead guitarist, a drummer and a bass player in addition to himself as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. They are currently in the process of producing their first album entitled Pieces of Silver. The majority of the songs are originals, four of which have just recently been released. This album has been in the making for quite some time now, and it will showcase the level of talent that he has amassed throughout his career in music to date.
The other band is a more recently formed band that portrays his music in a classical format with the addition of a violinist and a cello player. Some of the songs that are sung with the rock band are also played with the classical band, offering a unique perspective that has been well-received by many taste-makers and fans across the country. The band released its first album entitled “Wildflower” in 2021, and the numbers on the charts have been climbing exponentially since its release. They were also featured on the front page of Lifoti Magazine in July of 2021 with a nine page spread. This magazine has over 500,000 subscribers, and it is distributed to over 80 countries world-wide.
With the assistance of technology today with regards to music, Brian hopes to continue to grow his music and reach out to audiences far beyond what was once unimaginable. He has a lifetime of experience in music to share with the world, and it’s about time he expands on the recognition he deserves.

"Folsom Prison Blues" sounds great, how did you come up with the idea to rewrite the song?

Folsom came about when I heard Folsom one day and I thought it could be more like a Bruce Springsteen song and would sound good if it were more dramatic.

Do you remember your first ever self written song?

My first song was pretty simple. I started out writing poetry and then putting them to music. It didn't take too long before they started to come together and connecting with others. That's when I knew I had something good.

Do your fans have the chance to see you somewhere live on stage?

I am based in Tucson, AZ and I play with both of my bands around southern Arizona. I would love to take the music on the road in the futureand I am working towards that goal.

What was in your opinion the last "Big Turn" in music history?

The latest big turn in music is the move toward streaming. I like the fact that major acts have to go on the road to make their money. I would enjoy being on the road and connecting with people on a regular basis. That's the best part of playing music.

What’s next for you?

The next thing for my music is happening right now. The first songs from our new rock album are just being released. They are being released online on streaming platforms and our website, brianberggoetzband.com. There's a lot to look forward to. Thanks so much for tuning in. B
