‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

Finest Dark Pop from Denmark: Emilie Thorsby and her new release "Dark Wonderland"

Emilie Thorsby is ...

... a Pop artist from Denmark, with a powerful voice. Music has always been a way to tell stories straight out of my heart. A funny thing is, the way I create my Music. I'm most inspired, from my own dreams and things I got through. When I hear a unique Sound, I begin to write a song down.

How did you get into music?

I got into Music, because I have always loved Music and singing. I feel it is so magical. I feel free when I sing and it is a bonus when others love my Music. And it has always been my dream, to do it.

What was your inspiration for "Dark Wonderland"?

I wrote Dark Wonderland, when I was full of anger and I'm really struggling with haters. And also it's a long hard way, to make it in the Music industry. And I want to show the World, the real me. The real me is a girl that loves horror movies, halloween, and all what's different and not running in a pink dress.

Social Media ... is it fun or simply annoying?

I'm standing all alone, and when it comes to Social media, I'm really glad for it. I can reach out to my fans and share news. But my farvorite is Instagram.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

It would be an honor to collaborate with Ed Sheeran.

What do you need for the typical Danish breakfast?

My breakfast is eggs and bread, with banna, I can't live without it, hehe.
