The musician calls himself Frend and impresses with fresh, nostalgic sounds. The soulful tale of a romantic encounter is the theme of his latest release, "Streetlights Are Lonely."   From snow-covered bridges to lonely streetlights that only wake up at night, he brings the narrative to life. The loneliness of the streetlights and the automatic holding of the other person suggest a fusion of loneliness and newly discovered intimacy, showing how fleeting and precious such moments are - humanly complex emotions between hope and melancholy. ... is an Irish songwriter, musician, poet, and actor. Family gatherings in his childhood, where music was always vital, are the root of his creative endeavours. His first dream was to become a professional footballer. In 2016, he moved to Barcelona where he began playing on the street. His live shows developed a reputation as intense, binding, and unique experiences for the audience, an intimate journey where words and melodies come together, where silences are allowed to reverberate.
Sound poems written with the fountain pen of Lyons’ soul with brushstrokes of folk, jazz, and gypsy added by his band. In 2019 he released his first album, Evidence. ’Amen’ is the first offering from his second record, ‘The Human Factor’ produced by compatriot David Duffy. The album will be released in Feb 2023 with Dutch label King Forward Records.

Ein irischer Liedermacher der in Barcelona lebt, Davy Lyons veröffentlichte dieser Tage die erste Single, namens "Amen", seines bevorstehenden Albums "The Human Factor", welches im Februar 2023 erscheinen wird. 
Ein Lied das uns auffordert sich Gedanken zu machen, zugleich ermuntern soll Danke zu sagen, Danke zu den kleinen Dingen die unsere Aufmerksamkeit verlangen um uns glücklich zu machen. Wenn uns das gelingt, sind wir angekommen, angekommen im Leben. 
Wunderbares Thema, umgesetzt im Genre Singer/Songwriter meets Alt-Folk. Musikalisch vermag Davy Lyons zu überzeugen und arrangiert die lyrische Thematik gekonnt. Einerseits gestaltet er das Arrangement zurückhaltend, was den Lyrics sehr entgegenkommt, andererseits verleiht er durch die kleinen Details dem Thema enormen Ausdruck und zieht so den Hörer in seinen Bann. "Amen" von Davy Lyons wird auf alle Fälle Genre- sowie Musikliebhaber zu gleichen Teilen begeistern und auf vielen Playlists seinen Platz finden. 
Für uns bleibt nur zu sagen, perfektes Vorabrelease zum neuen Album, die Neugier wurde geweckt und wird hoffentlich durch ein weiteres Release, bis zum Erscheinen des Long Players, verkürzt.
