The Animal Gang

Dublin based alt-rock band The Animal Gang was initially formed as a studio project between singer-songwriter Kris Finn, and producer Denis O’Neill. The band now features guitarist Carl, drummer Paul, and bassist Shakey. Denis had previously worked with all the musicians learning their musical styles were similar, matching the sound and energy Kris and Denis had in mind for the band. Now, The Animal Gang is back with their brand-new single ‘Gimme Love’.

“This song came about in a similar way to others we've made, we record a lot of the band rehearsals, especially the jam parts. Kris and Denis sat down and went through what had been recorded, looking for something tasty. Initially, it was just a couple chords played in a certain way which we then wrote an arrangement for and tried some vocal ideas too.”

If the song sounds familiar to you now, we have already presented Carlos Ucedda and ‘I adore you’ once before; back then, the song was still very 80s (greetings to Luke Tangerine at this point). Together with Double Triangle, they take a step further into the 90s. You could almost say: ‘I adore you’ has arrived in the golden era of techno. The remix shows Double Triangle in top form, with good progression that keeps up the tension and simultaneously proves that, together with Carlos Ucedda, they can also capture the 90s flair magnificently and present it in the style of the 2000s. Great Remix of a fantastic Song by the end of the year!

"Wer bin ich¿" zeigt eine tiefe Identitätskrise und Sinnsuche des Menschen. Dichtboi symbolisiert den verzweifelten Versuch, der Realität durch Illusionen zu entfliehen. Der Text erinnert daran, dass wahrer Mut darin besteht, sich den Herausforderungen des Lebens zu stellen und Erfüllung innerhalb der realen Grenzen zu suchen, oder es wird zur Flucht in eine andere Welt, die leider oft nur einen Ausweg kennt. Und so bleibt am Ende der Beginn einer neuen Ebene der Existenz. Nachdenkliches von Dichtboi zum Jahresende.
