They are a daughter/father French duo, Dame Zina writes and sings, Y composes, plays, writes and produces. If you like electro, rock, poetry, nature, love and dreams, and some fun, our music is for you! Extremely prolific, they started this music project in 2019, releasing singles, then their first album "Emerald Eyes" in 2020. Their second project started in February 2022, when they started releasing one single a week along with a music video every month. In march 2023, their second album "House of Zina" was born.
"Basic", their latest release, is an attempt to embrace minimalism and uncomplicated things. This is the 5th song from their album "House of Zina". It's globally synthpop/wave meets electropop, but this particular single is more retro dance house. To cut a long story short, Dame Zina catapults you back to the past, a fantastic song with everything that Retrowave needs and should have.
