Brian Loyde undertook this task with his song “A daughter makes the man”. He eschewed complex song structures and subordinate clauses and crafted his homage to his daughter with simplicity. Simplicity in the sense that happiness does not require complexity. It is the simple things in life that seem enchanting. He employed lyrical metaphors that conveyed his profound bond with his daughter and his delight in every single moment.
