‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

Techno-Jungle-Electro-Chill: “It’s a synth”

It’s a synth - Part I

This article explores the eclectic genre of electro, which comprises various styles and movements. We aim to showcase both prominent and emerging indie artists and to celebrate their creations.
The first artist we feature is Spag Ruckus, whose track Techno Jungle Ravers enthralled me instantly. The electro riff at 1:30 minutes evokes the early works of Prodigy. It is so economical that it leaves you wanting more. The beat is ingeniously designed and adroitly changes the tempo. Jungle and experimental elements blend and reveal the unique personality of Matheo de Bruvisso, also known as Spag Ruckus. A triumphant new track that suits both electro and jungle or techno playlists.
As we announced earlier, we would like to introduce various electro creations that have impressed us in this article. Our journey now takes us to the realm of electro pop/EDM, where we have discovered the debut of Swarmzy from the United Kingdom. He released his track Freak Me Up last year, which offers one thing above all: good vibes only in club sound, very danceable, following the motto: Storm the dance floors and let loose.
The minimal beats and the sound of early 80s synths evoked immediately the work of “Speak and Spell” by DM as well as the debut of Yazoo (Vince Clark sends his greetings). Mr Gahan and Mr Clark did not grace us with their presence but Sunglow nevertheless left a very good lasting impression on me. sentimntel”, the opener of the last album, strays only at the start in this DM/VC field of synth-pop, and delivers as expected from Sunglow mainly innovation in the EGM genre, but acquires this slightly melancholic weird pop nuance. Highly recommended for genre enthusiasts, but also for those of us who are always looking for something new.
Dave Flame introduces us to “Intrusive, one of his recent creations, which will arouse curiosity about his identity as an artist. I shared this feeling initially, but the music itself provides the best answer. With “Intrusive”, Dave transports us to the chill corner, specifically study beats. Music that is consistently harmonious and agreeable, without being devoid of emotion, forms the foundation here. Dave Flame captures this mood precisely and makes “Intrusive” a relaxing journey on the chill highway. Turn on the engine and let us depart!
With his new chillout track, “Unspoiled Wonder”, Dan Truman, also known as Chill Music By Dan, demonstrates once more that he is among the eminent exponents of this genre. The song, which came out today, draws inspiration from the artist’s own travels. His music, which conjures up images, depicts Dan Truman as an artist devoted to music, converting emotions such as awe or gratitude into musical notes and evoking striking images in the listener’s mind. Finest Chill by Dan Truman is a sensory pleasure.
To sum up, electro and its related genres have much to offer. From jungle to electro pop and EGM to chill, you can find everything that appeals to them on our playlists. As The Pet Shop Boys would say: “It’s a sin” or as we say “It’s a synth” ;-)
