Please Insert Coin: ‘Games’ by The Octopus Division

‘Games’ by The Octopus Division If you love the 80s and don't know Matt Muncie (aka The Octopus Division), you've definitely missed something. A Dance between Hope and Disillusionment: “Pollen” by tOOjim

“Pollen” by tOOjim

tOOjim, a creative jack-of-all-trades from Manchester, UK, with roots in the East Midlands, is a true multi-talent. As a multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer, and DJ, his musical journey began in loud punk bands and jungle productions.
Today, he shares his passion for music with young students as a music teacher at various primary schools. His sound, inspired by greats like Arthur Russell, Burial, J Dilla, Joy Division, Steve Monite, Patti Smith, Kraftwerk, Nina Simone, and Leonard Cohen, skillfully combines elements of new wave, post-punk, and 80s disco.
With “Pollen,” he delivers his next track, which is sure to impress. The content describes a journey through the depths of the human soul - a dance through a chaotic world, searching for purity and battling inner demons. tOOjim reflects on lost youth, disappointed expectations, and the search for identity. Despite the melancholy and confusion, a longing for meaning and connection remains. It is a poetic dance between hope and disillusionment in an ever-spinning world.
The lyrics are presented in an alternative pop style with a slight new wave influence and are of a high standard, providing an appropriate musical backdrop. In “Pollen,” tOOjim creates an acoustic composition that guides listeners on a profound exploration of the nuances of human existence, eliciting prolonged reflection long after the final note fades.
