Who is the person behind the artist Nadeen Lavie?
I'm a singer/songwriter from Zürich, Switzerland.
How did your passion for music begin and what are your main influences?
I have loved listening to music since I was little and I started early with writing Songs. I always knew that this is all I wanna do. I grew up in the 90s so I listened a lot to older Songs that my parents heard. My main influences I would say were Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and of course Whitney Houston.
What or who inspired "Open Hearts" and what's the story?
The Song "Open Hearts" is about the intense emotions of love and vulnerability. It captures the experience of being deeply in love, where the connection is so strong that it feels overwhelming. It's also about being true to your feelings, following your heart and embracing the risks, the highs and the lows, knowing that love is the greatest adventure of all. Life and its stories inspired me to write this Song.
What are some of the challenges that you face as a musician in the current music industry?
It's really hard to stand out. There are so many good musicians and songs out there.
How do you use social media to connect with your fans and to grow your audience and what's your fav channel?
I use Instagram most of the time for connecting with (new) fans.
Do you still remember the first song you ever wrote?
I still have my midi disc with all the Songs that I first wrote when I was a child. And yes, the first Song that I wrote was "butterfly", but it's only an instrumental Song:-)
What are you working on right now and what can we expect from you next?
I'm currently writing a lot of new Songs. And I also teamed up with someone who helps me with the music business stuff. So there's a lot happening right now and I can't wait to show you all I've been working on soon:-)
