Please Insert Coin: ‘Games’ by The Octopus Division

‘Games’ by The Octopus Division If you love the 80s and don't know Matt Muncie (aka The Octopus Division), you've definitely missed something. But as it's never too late for good music, you can catch up on what you've missed anytime and almost anywhere.  The Octopus Division's latest work is called ‘Games’ and once again represents the decade of neon lights perfectly. The major sequences are classically chosen, and you'll be hooked from the start. Back in the world of arcade games, the song becomes an intense journey of self-discovery, describing personal growth. “Arapsi” by julakim, julakim Trio

“Arapsi” by julakim, julakim Trio

Julakim returns and, as of yesterday, presents us with her latest work, “Arapsi.” The lyrics of the song, written by Pedro Agi, are distinguished by their profound expressiveness. In “Arapsi,” Julakim transforms an allegory about human striving for a higher existence and inner peace into musical sounds. She addresses the longing to transcend the boundaries of the everyday and to strive for something greater, even if it means leaving the familiar behind.
The work is distinguished by a touch of psychedelia that provokes reflection and has a profound effect. Julakim succeeds in making the persistent connection to another world audible and restructuring thoughts on transience. The interpretation of Pedro Agi’s poetic text is highly accomplished. The musical implementation drapes the work in a melancholic veil, leading listeners into a world of reflection and quiet remembrance. The text was not forced into a form but guided by Julakim’s emotions, which she experienced through the loss of her Brazilian adoptive grandfather.
The result is an impressive work by Pedro Agi and Julakim that provokes thought, deeply moves, and strengthens our hope that memories live forever.
