‘ICU’ by Luke Tangerine & Kate Pending Luke Tangerine's output this year has been enormous, and he is not going to miss the opportunity to top it up just before Christmas. ‘ICU’ is the name of the new electro meets house music banger, which is almost unbeatable in terms of elegance. In this collaboration between Luke Tangerine and Kate Pending , both are in top form. One reason for this is certainly that both are masters of their craft and don't think in terms of genre boundaries.  ‘ICU’ manages to get stuck in my ear canals immediately, and not just because of the 80s/90s tendency that is definitely there. It's the combination that creates this. ‘Fading Away’ by Alex Uhlmann

Alex Uhlmann, born in Luxembourg, has earned gold and platinum records in Italy, music awards in the UK, and acclaim for his Berlin restaurant. As the musical director of ‘The Voice’ and a DJ for AC Milan, he’s made a significant impact across Europe.
After living in several major cities, Alex transitioned from a tennis career to music, teaching himself to sing and play instruments. He led the indie rock band ‘Friday Night Hero’ and the renowned ‘Planet Funk,’ performing over 200 concerts across Europe. Since 2021, his solo career has flourished with singles like ‘Paris or Rome’ and ‘Never Be the Same.’ He recently released ‘Fading Away,’ and the accompanying album ‘Home’ is already available.
The song’s background is the moving story of Ukrainian ballet dancer Arina Podshebiakina. In February 2022, she was invited to spend two weeks at the Ballet Academy in Milan. During her stay, war broke out in Ukraine, preventing Arina and her mother from returning home. After a performance, they met the wife of video director Nico Malaspina by chance, who offered them a place to stay with her family. Alex Uhlmann and Nico Malaspina were so moved by this story of war, separation, hope, and hospitality that they wanted to share it.
‘Fading Away’ highlights a modern irony: In a world saturated with mass communication, true interpersonal connection often gets lost. The more technologically connected we become, the further we drift from authentic human interaction. This lack of real communication can lead to feelings of isolation and misunderstanding. While superficial issues may fade, essential human relationships erode and ultimately disappear. This raises the question of whether our technological advances are truly bringing us closer or alienating us from each other. 
Musically, ‘Fading Away’ is beautifully realized in contemporary pop, a genre where Alex excels, delivering a high-quality performance. If you enjoy ‘Fading Away,’ the album is out now!
