‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

From the Heart to Eternity: “Take Me Home” by Moon & Aries

“Take Me Home” by Moon & Aries

... is an impressive reflection on the unwavering power of love and the deep longing for inner sanctuary. It transcends the concept of time, forming a connection that surpasses conventional boundaries of space and time.

The song also emphasises the indissoluble bond between two people, which is strengthened through emotional dedication and steadfastness. Love is portrayed as a transformative force that endures despite external adversities and illusions. This is reflected in the constant support and loyalty that provide hope and inner strength even in the most challenging moments of life.
“Take Me Home” invites the listener to step away from the fast pace of modern life and to deepen the search for inner peace and true belonging. Musically, Tom once again creates the finest synth aesthetics, heavily influenced by the 80s. Playful melodies and intricate structures produce a soundscape that, combined with the pulsating drums, forms an exceptionally complex musical framework with cinematic qualities. Vocally, Jordana somewhat reminds me of Laura Branigan, but softer and with a brilliant elegance that seamlessly integrates with Tom’s musical sophistication.
Thus, we end up with a song that unites melodies and poetic words, delivering a timeless and universal message. “Take Me Home” by Moon & Aries is another highlight of their impressive oeuvre.
