'How Much Did You Know' by No Thanks, Man

'How Much Did You Know' by  No Thanks, Man After 'Three Shots', No Thanks, Man (aka Geraldine Espino) went a little quiet, but now she's back, picking up where she left off in 2023. 'How Much Did You Know' is the name of her latest release, which is also an appetizer for the forthcoming album. The song is about the often painful process of healing from trauma that has shattered one or more relationships, and how that experience can also be a source of strength. It's a journey of self-discovery through pain that gives people hope and strength. What began as a story of sadness and self-pity has become a story of personal growth. "Spiritchaser" by The Ultimate Dreamers

"Spiritchaser" by The Ultimate Dreamers

The deep inner restlessness and rejection of the empty and meaningless social interactions that often characterize modern life is the theme of The Ultimate Dreamers' new release.

"Spiritchaser" conveys a strong longing for authenticity and individual freedom, far away from the false facades and superficial courtesies of society. One embarks on a search, feeling the need to free oneself from these negative influences and find one's own path. The desire to take their own, authentic path in life is at the forefront.
Musically, the band succeeds in creating a unique melancholy that is reminiscent of big names and doesn't need to shy away from comparisons. Stylistically, the sound and atmosphere created by the bass, synthesizer, and guitar are more akin to The Cure, although the melancholy in the vocals is more attributable to early New Order, with a lingering Joy Division tendency.
And so, at the end of the year, we get a cold/dark wave track that was born in the bosom of post-punk and has everything you love about these genres. If you haven't acquired a taste for it yet, this would be a good introductory song that won't let you go any time soon. We are eagerly awaiting the upcoming album.
