‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

‘Blind’ by Jupiter Flynn, Nina Caroline

‘Blind’ by Jupiter Flynn, Nina Caroline

Her voice, her sound, her appearance are already her trademark. Her mission is to speak from the soul of the generation. Her songs are direct and honest.
We don't need to introduce her because we've already mentioned her name several times. Jupiter Flynn convinces once again, this time in collaboration with Nina Caroline (winner of "Dein Song 2012" at the age of 11).
The new release, entitled "Blind," tells the story of the struggle within a toxic relationship, signifying the oppression and blindness experienced. A relationship prison in which the doors are not locked, but the first steps to freedom are damn difficult and almost impossible to overcome.
Almost fragile at first, ‘Blind’ develops towards the door, towards freedom and over the threshold of being left behind, but not forgotten. The vocal interplay is perfect, the music sad but self-confident. Folk-pop that points things out, that screams and yet exercises restraint. It keeps its composure, but puts the focus on what it's all about.
Jupiter Flynn and Nina Caroline as a rock in the surf of frustration. ‘Blind,’ a great new play that invites and challenges you to think.
