‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division

‘The Journey’ - The Octopus Division In ‘The Journey,’ a sonic mosaic unfolds that—permeated by neon-soaked synth pads and a melody that feels like memory—is less a song than a spiritual compass. The time that relentlessly pursues us, according to ‘Time keeps chasing us every day’, is not portrayed as an enemy, but as a constant touchstone that we face with our heads held high: ‘ We won't let the rain wash us away’ . Photography, here metaphorically as a key to the past, opens doors to moments that seem long gone but live on within us. The chorus – a kind of collective mantra – describes not just a journey, but an intertwining of stories that support each other. The garden in which hopes take root becomes a symbol of what must be nurtured in order to flourish. And when ‘ our songs have lost a note or two ’, it is not a flaw, but proof of lived depth. A song that is not meant to be heard, but to be lived through – like a familiar glance at an old photo album by candlelight. b...

'Give Me Your Power (feat. La Vilaine GuGu)' by Pouvoir Magique

'Give Me Your Power (feat. La Vilaine GuGu)'

He audibly incorporates his work as a producer and filmmaker into his style. Pouvoir Magique opens today's release reign with ethno-electronic vibes that could well have inspired his acoustic-cinematic work at the sonic birthplace of 'The Prodigy'.

He calls his anthemic vision 'Give Me Your Power (feat. La Vilaine GuGu)', which is both an audio sample for the album 'Cycles' (due 28 February 2025 on Jarring Effects) and the unleashed musical realisation of a ritual.
The staging of the sounds shows his ability to bring stories to life through the use of sound and gives the song a mystical depth that takes us a little into the electro underground and at the same time gives us a glimpse into the future. Far removed from static monotony, Pouvoir Magique and La Vilaine GuGu convince by never letting us rest. Musical boredom is pulverised by rhythmic staccato beats. Melody and beats duke it out and drive each other up.
'Give Me Your Power (feat. La Vilaine GuGu)' is a red-hot piece of iron, forged into an electro-masterpiece, and will be galloping through space and time on radio waves from today!
